I would have loved this book as a kid. I didn't grow up with a dog, but always wanted one, and if I'd read this book I know I would have begged for a dachshund. Joe Tavano weaves good lessons for kids into the story unobtrusively. The way he writes about the love Paws feels for his family (and vice versa) is priceless. Even if a kid can't have a dog, they can read about Paws. Go buy this book!
